Which ski wax do I need?
What matters for choosing wax is the snow temperature — not the air temperature. raceday.ski computes it physically with a 3-layer energy-balance model from current weather data (altitude, cloud cover, sun position, slope exposure and the resort's horizon profile) and validates the result against stations of the SLF IMIS network. From this, the wax recommendation is built from 127 products by Swix, Toko, Holmenkol, HWK and Rex — a single wax for hobby skiers, a complete system of base wax, race wax, optional powder and finish for racers.
